Commission disclosure

How we're paid

Smart Source Savings is paid a commission by the energy supplier for arranging your contract. The commission is included in the price you pay, usually as an amount added to each unit of energy (pence per kWh), and in some cases to the standing charge.

What we'll tell you

Before you enter into a contract, we'll give you written details of the commission we'll receive for that contract, and suppliers show broker costs in their contract terms. If you'd like to know how the commission compares across the quotes we've obtained for you, just ask.

Fixed fees

For some clients we can agree a fixed fee instead of commission. Where we do, we'll set this out in writing before any work starts.
